4 days ex Siem Reap - trip code APKA08
US$520 (single room optional for US$105)
Come and see the breathtaking temples of the Angkor kingdom. Among the dense jungle of Cambodia are the wonders of an ancient era. Some are in relative ruin, some currently under restoration. We take you through the highlights then allow you time to explore more on your own. We will take you on the quiet, undiscovered back roads, through small villages, to see far-flung temples lying outside the main complex. Visit the largest lake in South East Asia and observe its floating communities by boat.
Itinerary
Day 1 | Siem Reap
After transferring to your hotel, you will be treated to a traditional Khmer meal and will have the opportunity to hear some of the history from your guide.
Day 2 | Highlights of Angkor
We make an early start to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. We then take a leisurely ride around some of the temple highlights. After lunch, you have free time to explore further or join your guide for some non-temple activities.
Day 3 | Beng Melea
We ride on little used roads through small villages and stunning countryside to reach the hidden temple of Beng Melea. This moss covered, shady temple is a true oasis.
Day 4 | Kampong Pluk and the Tonle Sap Lake
Today we will ride to the Tonle Sap Lake and enjoy a boat trip to visit the Khmer stilt village of Kampong Pluk, a community whose lively-hoods have been drawn from the lake for many generations. The ride concludes today, but more awaits you on our other cycling journeys.
