Itinerary
Days 1 | Baisha
Today we will meet at Kaohsiung High-Speed-Rail station or airport and make the short transfer down to the Hengchun Peninsula where we'll stay at a hotel with views over one of Taiwan's most beautiful beaches. The afternoon is free to relax on the beach, or if you're feeling more adventurous we can take a hike through the national park to spot monkeys, birds and other wildlife. In the evening we'll have a beach barbecue.
Day 2 | Hot Springs
We begin our journey with a beautiful loop around the lowlying coast, before heading inland to our overnight rest-stop, nestled in a beautiful valley, complete with hot springs and mountain views. We'll enjoy a traditional aboriginal feast for dinner. Approx Distance Cycled: 40km
Day 3 | Violet Bay
This morning we begin our ascent into the jungly interior of the peninsula, climbing on a remote road which passes through sleepy aboriginal settlements. In the afternoon we descend to the rugged east coast and emerge at a beautiful beach from where it's another short climb to our comfy log cabin overnight stop. Approx Distance Cycled: 50km
Day 4 | Kenting
Today we ride along the breathtaking east coast all the way to the very southern tip of Taiwan. From here it's just a short ride back to Kenting, where we'll head out for a well-earned dinner to celebrate our peninsula loop. Approx Distance Cycled: 50km
