Gather at the Grasshopper Shop
Meet at Grasshopper Adventures at 8:15 am for an 8:30 start. Grab your helmet and water bottle while our team of mechanics ensures the bikes are personalized to suit you and ready to roll.

Mine Fighting Rodents
After a 30 minute ride along the riverside on a variety of urban and village roads, we arrive just outside the Angkor park limits to visit some furry friends. When they are not enjoying some well-deserved downtime, these bomb finding rats are out savings lives by using their super senses to sniff out the past and help create a safe future for rural areas. After learning about their interesting work and getting your own rat selfie we'll return to the bikes.

Cycle the City
We head back across the city, but it doesn’t take long before we are on the roads less traveled, riding through small dirt lanes as we explore the ever-changing landscape of Siem Reap. From boutique hotels to traditional rice fields, this small ride shows the contrast that is the new norm in Temple Town.

Geckos and Trash
After a scenic 30 minutes of riding, we arrive at our second stop, ReHash Trash. This social enterprise is turning plastic waste into beautiful products through an artistic and imaginative approach to recycling. There's an opportunity to get involved with some big laughs as you learn about the ReHash Trash story and the process involved in making these incredible products and, if we're lucky with time, you’ll have the chance to weave your own take-home plastic bag treasure. ReHash Trash, in addition to its recycling initiatives, is a social business of parent NGO Green Gecko which works with former street children and their families, including the Gecko Mums who are now renewing their lives and earning an essential income through their work at ReHash.

Infused Rice Wine
After an inspiring visit, it's time to walk nearby for some locally brewed beverages. Siem Reap has no better option to visit than the team at Sombai, a socially responsible business producing 11 unique local flavors of infused rice wine. All their products are handcrafted with unmatched attention to detail, right down to hand-painted bottles. Here we'll enjoy a distillery tour and sampling session, then time to jump on the bikes and cruise back to the shop where a refreshingly cold coconut awaits!

Expect to be back around 1 pm.

We have crafted a route to keep the ride predominantly on tracks and small roads, there are sections where we ride on town roads but traffic in Siem Reap is generally light and slow moving, your guide will assist here to make the journey as smooth as possible - there are no hills in the area so anyone who can reasonably ride and is comfortable on a bike will enjoy this tour. There are sections on bumpy dirt trails that get a little more challenging in the wet season and a few city riding sections so beginner riders should not choose this tour.
