115 Km riding. The riding is entirely flat. You’ll cycle on a great variety of surfaces, ranging from concrete to hard-packed dirt and even a few forest trails around Angkor. Traffic will almost always be a rarity, allowing you to engage with the locals as you go, stopping for a chat or a photo opp as you wish.

Day to Day
Our Grasshopper team will arrange a central meeting point in town or come pick you up at your hotel. From Saigon, it’s an 90-minute transfer by private van to the northern edge of the Delta.
To start our ride, the bikes are set up just down the road from a village market where locals will welcome you as neighbors. We mount our bikes and set off on small rural roads and concrete canal paths this morning, visiting some of the artisans, weavers and growers who call this region home for an interesting cultural immersion.
The sights along the trails include stunning vistas of rice fields, lush vegetable and fruit farms, temples, pagodas, and countless local markets. There’s a well-timed stop for cold drinks and fresh fruit and just before lunch a visit to the largest wholesale produce market in southern Vietnam.
We’re in for a treat, as lunch today is served in a private home with a meal specially prepared for our group. From here it’s a short boat ride across the Mekong to your luxurious home for the evening. You can relax by the pool, enjoy the spa services of the hotel, or simply spend a quiet afternoon with a book by the banks of the river.
This evening you are free to dine as you wish, the resort itself has a great menu of traditional Vietnamese or French dishes.
Breakfast at the Island Lodge is enjoyed in the outdoor dining area overlooking the river. Meanwhile, the bikes are made ready for our second day of cycling and exploring deeper into the Delta.
We will cross by boat or van to just outside of Ben Tre. Our ride today continues along narrow canal paths, crossing streams and larger rivers by ferries, and includes a stop at a traditional brick factory.
Lunch today near Cho Lach is once again specially prepared in a private residence. There’s time for a short pedal after lunch before we hop in the van to transfer to Can Tho and our next night of luxury at the Victoria Can Tho Resort. Enjoy a dip in the pool or relax riverside.
Dinner tonight is at a favorite local restaurant in Can Tho.
This morning we are up early in order to experience Can Tho’s floating markets with the locals, not the tourists. A short drive by private van from the Victoria Resort gets us to a boat dock where we’ll head into the main market area for an up-close experience of this unique Delta tradition.
Returning to the hotel by 7:30 am, there’s plenty of time to enjoy the sumptuous breakfast at the resort. By 9 am the bikes will be ready for us in front of the hotel. We’ll pedal off to the nearby ferry that crosses the Mekong for our last day of cycling and Delta adventures. This region features many sites constructed during Khmer rule of the Delta and today nearly 1.5 million people of Cambodian descent still call this area home. We’ll pedal the lush Delta area and explore some of these sites before a late lunch. Once we’ve eaten, it’s time to board the van for our transfer back to Saigon, arriving at approximately 5 pm.
