Overview

On this multi-active adventure, you'll pedal through paradise, feast like a local and soak up the sun along the stunning Dalmatian Coast in Croatia.

We'll kick things off in the lively city of Split, cycling along the Mediterranean and winding through stone villages. Lavender fields? Check. Olive groves? Of course. Vineyards? You bet!

And let’s not forget those island towns — Hvar and Korčula — where every twist and turn hits you with next-level scenery: ancient forts standing proud over ridiculously clear, aquamarine waters. Then there’s Mljet National Park, where lush forests, shimmering lakes and the untouched beauty of this hidden gem will have you grinning from ear to ear!

Of course... we’re also here to feast! Hunt out the local delicacies that make Croatia a culinary gem — think rich pašticada (succulent beef in a velvety, aromatic sauce), fresh seafood grilled to perfection and melt-in-your-mouth štrukli (a delicious Croatian pastry filled with cheese) that'll make you wonder why you ever settled for anything less.

By the end of the day, you’ll find a cozy spot to kick back, maybe with a poolside cocktail in hand — because after all that pedaling, you deserve a little R&R! And with our passionate Tour Leader and stellar cycling crew guiding us through this Croatian escapade, we’ll dig deeper than the guidebooks ever could. Ready to jump in the saddle?

What’s the riding like?

This tour is Riding Level 4, which means you can expect to cycle an average of 60 km per day (and usually no more than 80 km) with occasional breaks to recharge. Expect some longer stretches and demanding uphill climbs (up to 1500 m a day), meaning you’ll need a good level of fitness if you’re on a standard bike.

On this Croatia tour, you’ll pedal through a stunningly diverse landscape, where rugged cliffs meet crystal-clear waters and coastal villages dot the route. The Level 4 rating adds a dash of adventure — think gravel paths, a bit of bumpiness, and some climbs to keep things fun. At about 155 km (96 mi) total, it’s a journey packed with epic views and routes worth bragging about.

Need a boost?

Dobar dan (hello) adventurers! Welcome to Croatia – the land of turquoise seas, sun-soaked islands and so much good food you’ll probably need an extra notch on your belt by the end of this trip. But first things first: Split!

Here we’ll meet our expert Tour Leader, who will get us kitted out with our trusty bike for the week. After a quick gear-up and introductions (don’t worry, we won’t quiz you on names just yet!), we’re heading straight into the action with our first ride, a casual loop through Split.

Our wheels will whisk us past Split’s lively green market and the iconic Riva promenade — a glorious strip lined with cafés where locals gather to sip their espressos and watch the world go by. That seaside view? Breathtaking!

Then, it gets better — we’ll pedal our way to the pine-scented paradise of Marjan Hill, Split’s green lung. As we wind our way through the shady forest paths, you’ll get sneak peeks of the marina, beaches and surrounding islands. At the Vidilica lookout, you'll feel like you're on top of the world. It's S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G. Seriously, this is the moment you’ll wish you packed a spare memory card for all the photos.

Oh, and speaking of wow-moments, we’ll roll back down through the old-school neighborhood of Varos – Split’s historic heart — before cycling back into the lively town center, feeling fully in sync with the city’s rhythm.

Back in the bustling town center, you’ll have just enough time to catch your breath before the next leg of our journey — a ferry ride to the stunning island of Hvar (keep an eye out for dolphins!). Once we’re on dry land, we’ll head to our cozy hotel near the village of Vrboska.

But tonight? It’s all about kicking off the adventure with a welcome dinner at the hotel. Expect a buffet of local and Western flavors, and maybe treat yourself to a glass (or two) of wine as you get to know your fellow Grasshoppers. The adventure starts tomorrow; for now, ease off your trainers and settle in for a peaceful night.

Goooooood morning, Hvar! This island is basically Croatia’s answer to heaven on earth.

After breakfast at our seafront hotel (seriously, can the views get any better than this?), we’ll hop on our bikes and roll through the gorgeous Stari Grad Plain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s been growing grapes and olives since, like... forever. You’ll pedal past stone walls, charming villages and lush vineyards, all while soaking in that pure, Mediterranean air. It's like riding through a postcard — only better because you’re in it.

We’ll conquer some climbs (don’t worry, it’s worth it), then be rewarded with a glorious descent that will have you grinning all the way down. Wind in your hair, sun on your face and Hvar’s jaw-dropping views all around you. Can you say “cycling bliss”?

Our destination? The stunning Hvar old town! You’ll have free time here to wander, explore and snap a few pics (or a hundred) of the beautiful stone streets and that iconic fortress looming overhead. Your Tour Leader has lunch covered — they know all the best bites in town that are way too good to miss! After, grab a coffee or maybe even a local sweet treat (pro tip: try rozata — Croatia’s answer to crème brûlée!).

Once we’ve had our fill of old town magic, we’ll hop in the minivan for a scenic transfer back to our cozy hotel by the sea.

The evening is yours to kick back and chill! Take a refreshing dip in the Adriatic or enjoy a glass of local red, white, or Pipi (a tangy, orange-flavored soda) while soaking up those sunset views — the choice is all yours! Feeling a bit competitive? Gather your fellow Grasshoppers for a friendly (...or not) game of Uno!

Grab your sunscreen and say bye to your bike (for now) — today, we’re trading pedals for paddles! We’ll hop on a sleek catamaran and set sail for the breathtaking island of Korčula, the birthplace of Marco Polo.

Once we dock, prepare to wander through the enchanting old town, where medieval squares come alive with laughter, the distant strumming of a mandolin adds a musical touch and delightful aromas waft from local eateries, tempting your taste buds to come out and play.

Now, for the day’s toughest dilemma: What to eat!

Will you enjoy some homemade olive oil paired with fresh local cheeses that practically melt in your mouth? Or dig into a tomato-topped peka with tender lamb and seasonal veggies, cooked to perfection under a traditional bell? Decisions, decisions! Either way, you’re in for a t-r-e-a-t.

After a tasty exploration, it’s time to gear up for an afternoon of kayaking.

Just when you think the day couldn’t get better, you’re paddling through shimmering waters that make you feel like you’ve stumbled upon the world’s best-kept secret! And keep your eyes peeled — you might just spot some dolphins popping by to say hello. It’s one of those 'you’ve got to see it to believe it' moments. Pure magic.

Later, we’ll roll into our hotel, nestled right by the shoreline. Time to kick back and recharge by the pool with a frosty lager or a zesty limunada. Heaven.

Slurp up your coffee and idemo! Today’s ride is nothing short of tour de awesome!

We’re off to explore the east side of Korčula — think sparkling Adriatic on one side, lush rolling vineyards on the other and age-old villages dotting the landscape. This could easily be the backdrop of a Mamma Mia movie. You in? Let’s go!

We’ll kick off in Korčula’s old town, where medieval walls and narrow streets invite you to wander. But don’t get too carried away just yet, because Lumbarda awaits. This little slice of heaven is famous for its sun-kissed beaches and Grk wine.

Exploring is hungry work, so our Tour Leader has lunch sorted today (meaning the best local bites!)

Next, we’re gliding through the quaint village of Žrnovo all the way to Pupnat — where every corner is a stonemason’s masterpiece. As you pedal past friendly Croatian faces going about their daily lives, you’ll catch a glimpse of authentic island culture in action!

When we return to our overnight oasis, your only mission is to dine under the stars! Will you indulge in pašticada, a heavenly slow-cooked beef dish served with fluffy gnocchi, or is the crispy calamari calling your name? The choice is yours!

Ahoy, welcome aboard! This morning we'll set sail for Mljet Island. Once we hit land, it’s time to hop on our bikes for a scenic ride around not one, but two gorgeous lakes in the Mljet National Park.

The trail requires some climbing but hey, for every uphill, there’s a glorious downhill that’ll have you feeling like a kid again! And the views?

Absolute showstoppers! Lush greenery, sparkling waters and that delightful pine-scented air.

Our Tour Leader has a light lunch covered; maybe they’ll pick out some fresh-off-the-boat seafood or drool-inducing krafna for us to sample — fluffy, sugar-dusted delights like little pillows of happiness filled with creamy goodness.

After a day on the trails, we’ll sail back on the catamaran for our farewell dinner. We might be newfound friends, but when the plates hit the table, it’s every foodie for themselves!

Ah, all good things eventually come to an end and unfortunately, today is that day. After breakfast, we’ll make our way to Dubrovnik. But, wait, wait, wait — we can’t say goodbye without one final toast, can we?

Before we dash off, we’re making a delightful pit stop at the famous Matuško Winery in the heart of Pelješac. Sip on some exquisite indigenous wines, each telling a tale of the region’s rich heritage. It’s the perfect way to cap off our trip, reminding you that while you’re leaving this stunning country behind, the memories and friendships you’ve made will be vintage!
