The beautiful cycling routes we choose through Asia are often what set us apart. With our expertise and experience in each country, we’ve found the best paths to cycle through gorgeous scenery and off-the-beaten-path places that show you a more authentic side of each destination.

Take in the excited smiles of locals as you pedal through parts of the countryside where few tourists go. From the island of Shikoku in Japan, the highlands and coast of Vietnam, or the Silk Road trade routes of Uzbekistan, wherever the guide and bike takes you you’ll be sure to see some incredible sights hidden from the eyes of most tourists.

Local Life

All of our tours emphasize a culturally authentic experience, with visits to locals’ homes, stops at small businesses and NGOs, and plenty of opportunities to connect with the people around you. Many of our tours feature stays in traditional accommodation, as well as meals at restaurants packed with locals, so you see the “real” Asia. Visit village industries by bike such as pottery, silk weaving, and rice paper making for a glimpse at long-lasting traditions. Attend a puppet show in Thailand, a local circus in Cambodia, or traditional dance theater at a monastery in India. Leave Asia with a better appreciation for its culture and the daily lives of its people.

Local Experts

Our expert Grasshopper guides are often cited as being one of the main highlights of our tours. These knowledgeable locals are excited to share the highlights, culture, and history of their countries with you over the course of your journey. Our leaders are also extremely safety conscious and attentive to your needs so you can enjoy your cycling holiday stress-free. In addition to your tour leader, there will also be an assistant guide/mechanic who is there to keep the bikes in good shape and often will lead the pack while the guide cycles among the group. There is also a support vehicle on hand at all times.

Open Groups

One of the best parts of choosing to join a Classic tour is the people you will meet! Our groups of 6-14 cyclists are always a fun and insightful mix of people from around the world, brought together by their sense of adventure and love of the great outdoors. You’ll explore new countries alongside these fellow travelers and may just make friendships that will last a lifetime!

Comfortable Accommodation

All of the hotels along the routes of our Classic tours are chosen for their comfort, service, and cultural flair. We use 3 to 5 star hotels in larger towns and cities, and find the best available lodgings in more remote areas. But you can always be sure of a clean room, comfortable bed, air conditioning, and private bathroom. Stay in a Heritage Hotel in India, a traditional Ryokan in Japan, or a rainforest lodge in Sri Lanka.

For those traveling alone, we do not charge a single supplement and will pair you with another single, same-sex traveler. If you wish to have your own room, there is the option to pay a single supplement at an extra cost.
